Operating out of a sleepy Midwestern town, over the last 8 years, Mike Miget’s sold in excess of $10 Million in loan fees by breaking all the rules. For example, Mike does: • No marketing for purchase money loans. And if one happens to fall in his lap, he will usually turn it away unless it meets specific criteria he has in place... • No marketing for rate or term refinances. These get turned away as well... • He does NOT solicit referrals from realtors, builders, CPA’s, lawyers, or any of the other so called “conventional” sources of business. (After all, why place the future of your business, in someone else’s lap?) • And he buys no 3rd party “bought” leads, from the internet, telemarketing, or anywhere else! So where does all his business come from? The answer is simple. Mike generates ALL the business he needs, using emotional direct response marketing. As a result of this, Mike has set up his business to serve his needs, not just his clients. This means: • All his leads are generated in house through his own marketing efforts, so they’re controlled by him and no one else. • All his leads are generated using methods that produce only easy to close, maximum fee type of loans. (With little to no resistance from his prospects or clients.) • Mike decides in advance how many leads he wants in any given time period and adjusts his marketing accordingly, to maximize his profits. • And all of this is done with no distracting inbound phone calls. It’s also interesting to note that as a result of his experiences, Mike no longer originates, closes, or even “works on” any loans himself, personally. All his time is spent doing “high margin, maximum return for time spent” marketing, for his small team of loan officers who also all use his system. Prior to formally entering the mortgage business in 1992, Mike earned his accounting degree from the Pierre Laclede Honors College at the University of Missouri. Fresh out of school, Mike worked as an accountant on some of St. Louis’ richest and most publicly known corporate executives. His background and experience in these areas allowed him to develop the systematic approach he uses today, to generate all the loans and revenues for his mortgage business.
